Commander’s Log Podcast # 6 – Delays with the hyperspace relays

We are live.

Once again I am late. My plan for this podcast was to be fortnightly. But this hasn’t happened for a while now and I’m starting to think its no longer an appropriate goal. The truth is, putting together the podcast is a lot of work. John Stabler and the crew at Lave Radio make it look easy, but when you only have so many hours of ‘me’ time in a day after work and the family, the focus has to be the novel itself. The podcast gets the scraps of time that are left.

I’m not saying I want to stop. I really enjoy putting these together. I hope everyone who listens to them enjoys them as much as I enjoy putting them together. I’m just saying that I’m going to think about timeframe I can realistically stick to. Could be every three weeks, could be monthly. I’ll ponder on this and let you all know.

In the meantime, please come and have a listen to: Podcast # 6: ‘Radio Problems’

Low on credits I take on a bulletin board mission and end up talking to a rather famous Commander. I also cover the usual ground of the novel, Elite news and the writers forum.

Stellardrone provides the intro music once again and I’m sticking with Two Quiet Suns for the Outro.

A question I posed on the last podcast (and nobody answered grrrr . . .) is how people feel about the balance of music in the podcast. I have played around with the idea of ambient music or other interludes but question whether that starts taking me further down the road of an ‘audio drama’. I’d really love to hear your feedback on this, so please have a listen and leave me a note one way or the other.

Thanks for listening,
